Safe Delivery Policy

Pre Camp information for Parents / Guardians
The following information will be communicated via email by AOCC Ltd to parents/guardians of the children attending our sports coaching sessions along with a copy of this PPT relating to AOCC Ltd’s Covid 19 Safe usage policy:

Children are encouraged to bring your own hand sanitiser and parents to wear gloves where possible.

  • Travel together as a household.
  • Avoid public transport.
  • Try not to arrive too early, aim to arrive at the start of your slot to help with social distancing.
  • Bring your own playing/training equipment including balls.
  • Bring your own filled drinking bottles and snacks.
  • Avoid touching as much as possible whilst on club premises and use cleaning stations whenever available.
  • Do not stay to socialize and leave promptly after the session to allow sanitizing of cricket equipment and venue facilities eg nets and toilets.

Parent / Player Arrival and Departure

  • Parents to arrive and depart promptly at allocated timeslot and there will be a window between each session to reduce overcrowding and maintain social distancing between parents and children
  • Cars must park in the car park and leave the equivalent of one car parking space free between each car.
  • Parents and children are asked to sanitize their hands before arrival. Please note hand sanitizer will be available and provided throughout the session although bringing your own is recommended.
  • Kit bags MUST be kept 5m away from other children and all personal belongings kept in them eg drinks/snacks. Each child will be allocated an area outside to leave their kit. No bags or entry will be permitted inside the clubhouse other than to use toilet upon coaches direction.
  • Parents and players are encouraged to leave immediately at the end of the session and not to engage in socialising.

AOCC COVID 19 Mini-Camp Operating Rules

  • Colour coded areas of Acomb CC set out by cones will be present on the outfield before arrival. This will represent the area that each group of participants will be working (maximum 5 and 1 coach from different households). Skills, drills, games and nets will be set up to facilitate the 2m social distancing rule at all times.
  • Where possible, players will use their own balls during all cricket related activities. If this is not possible AOCC Ltd will issue each player with a ball for the remainder of the session which will be sanitized at the end of the session.
  • All players are to be reminded that they should not be touching their faces with their hands if at all possible and face coverings are optional for all participants although won’t be provided by AOCC ltd.
  • All rubbish/litter is to be taken home with the participant and the use of and touching bins outside at Acomb CC is prohibited.
  • If the toilets are needed to be used, this will be done one person at a time as directed by AOCC coach, where all players must dispose of any paper towels in the bin provided, toilet paper in the toilet and hands must be washed for a minimum of 20 seconds using anti bacterial soap in line with government guidelines. Upon the completion of each session an AOCC coach will sanitize all washroom taps, door and toilet handles and ensure hand sufficient soap is present in preparation for the next session.
  • Do not leave private property behind including litter!
  • No spitting.
  • No saliva or sweat should come into contact with the ball at any time.
  • As always, the health and safety of participants is paramount – please ensure those using the nets minimise the risk of injury (wear helmets, pads etc). As well as response times being delayed this is vital to avoid any additional stress on the NHS.
  • Encourage all users to report any infection of their household following use of the facility to allow effective contact tracing and to limit the spread of the virus

COVID 19 Reminders
We still need to take precautions

At this time the use of outdoor facilities is only permitted for people from the same household, for individuals using the facilities alone, or for a maximum of six people from different households (5 players and one coach) who are maintaining recommended social distancing measures (2m apart). It is important to remember that the following advice still applies and it is key to remind any participants, those leading the sessions and those maintaining the grounds of these rules:

• Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (temperature above 37.8 °C, a persistent cough, breathing problems or other symptoms identified by the Government – note that the release of a new Government symptom-checking app is anticipated shortly) must stay at home and self-isolate in accordance with the Government guidance
• All members of the same household must do the same even if they do not display symptoms
• Those with an underlying health condition which makes them ‘clinically extremely vulnerable’ must stay at home
• Parents/guardians aged 70 and over are advised to minimise their contact with others outside of their household
• Social distancing is key to minimising transmission of COVID-19, maintaining a distance of two metres between people still applies if individuals are not from the same household

In the event of the provider or parent  cancelling due to CV19, unless stipulated pre-booking, session balances will be carried over as credits.

These can be used for sports and/or cricket camps and group performance coaching sessions
